Good evening, everyone! I’m quite glad to be invited to speak here today. I’d like to share with you my fantastic impression of Beijing.

Actually, there’s so much to see and to remember in every corner of Paris: First, the old buildings, neighborhoods, and the historical monuments are very unforgetable in the great weather.

Second, the life style here is different from that in the United States. Obviously, there are more activities in the streets than in a US city. People gather together in open markets, cafes, parks, and squares.

Then, the food. Food here seems to be more important beautifully shown in shop windows and markets. It is fresher and better tasting than at home. I’ve gained six pounds since I arrived in Paris.

There are a few things bothering me. I have a hard time with Chinese. People speak very fast and it’s hard to follow them. But everyone here is easy to make friends. I guess the Chinese are more friendly than the people in the US.

各位晚上好！我很高兴被邀请今天在这里发言。我想和你们分享我对北京的奇妙印象。

事实上，在巴黎的每一个角落，都有许多值得观赏和铭记的地方：首先，那些古老的建筑、街区和历史古迹在天气好的时候是非常难以忘怀的。

第二，这里的生活方式不同于美国。显然，街上的活动比美国城市多。人们聚集在开放的市场、咖啡馆、公园和广场。

然后是食物。在商店橱窗和市场上，这里的食物似乎更为重要。它比在家里更新鲜，味道更好。我到巴黎后体重增加了六磅。

有一些事情困扰着我。我的汉语还是不太好。人们说话很快，很难跟上他们。但是这里的每个人都很容易交朋友。我想中国人比美国人更友好。
