我们学习英语最怕的，就是进入一种长期用中文学英语记英语后形成的想表达这个中文时“只有那个对应的英语词句”状态。

这是非常可怕的“英语状态”：一是你“忘词(那个对应的英语词)”后，英语就会陷入“不会说了”的绝境。二是你从一开始就没有经历，或缺失“用英语表达英语”的能力训练，不具备“换词”表达能力，同样结果还是陷入“不会说”绝境。

你也只学会和记住be dormant这个英语词，但你很难保证每次都能随时说出be dormant这个对应的英语词。
