1 SCOPE

This standard specifies the safety requirements and test methods for the fuel system in the vehicle rear-end collision events.

This Standard applies to the vehicles of category M1 fitted with tank(s) for liquid fuel. Any other type of vehicle can refer to these.

The following standards contain provisions, which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. At time of publication the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below.

3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of this standard, the following definitions apply.

车辆型式vehicle type

在下列主要方面没有差异的同一型式的车辆：

3.1.1 燃油箱的结构、形状、尺寸、材料；

3.1.2 燃油箱在车辆上的位置；

3.1.3 燃油供给系统（泵、滤油器等）的特性及车辆上的位置；

3.1.4 对本标准所描述的碰撞试验结巢有影响的电器装置的特性及在车辆上的位置。

横向平面transverse plane

与东辆纵向中心平面垂直的横向平面。

整备质量unladen weight

处于运行状态的车辆质量，不包括驾驶员、乘客和货物，但燃油箱加入总容量90%的燃料、冷却液、润滑油，并带有随车工具和街盼（如果这些由车辆制造厂作为标准装备提供的）。

燃油箱容量capacity of the fuel tank

制造厂规定的燃油箱容量。

液体燃料liquid fuel

在正常的温度和压力条件下为液态的燃料。

4 一般要求

4.1 燃油装置

4.1.1 燃油箱应符合GB 18296,

4.1.2 燃油装置各部件应被车身或车架部件适当地保护起来，以防止与地面障碍物发生接触。若这些部件位于车辆下部，离地高度比在其前部的车身或车架部件离地高度大，可不要求保护。
